On one of the servers I installed a fresh copy of Joomla 3.0, I experienced problems when uploading images into articles. Joomla would add some a string like \" to the image. This resulting in not showing the image in the article.

First I thought it was a problem with the editor I was using, so I tested by setting editor to none, and then tried inserting an image through by adding it manually in HTML. Still same problem came up.

So after some research and testing, this is what worked for me:

Create a or edit your existing php.ini file with the two following lines:
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
session.save_path = “/tmp”

Upload the php.ini file into your Joomla 3.0 root folder as well as your administrator folder. This should now fix the problem of not being able to insert images into your Joomla 3.0 articles.

Did you find this helpful? Then why not recommend it to your friends? Thanks!
